Dipendra has 8 years of experience in conducting all forms of litigation
matters including general civil litigation, corporate litigation and tax
appeals at the Court of Appeal, High Courts and Special Commissioners
of Income Tax. Dipendra has also advised many corporations on their legal
and strategic aspects of their businesses in achieving a suitable business
solution.
Dipendra holds a Second Class (Upper) (Honours) Bachelor of Law degree
from the University of London. He completed the Malaysian Certificate
of Legal Practice in 1998. Dipendra also graduated with a Masters in Law
(Merit) from The London School of Economics and Political Science in 1999. [more]
Dipendra was admitted and enrolled to the Malaysian Bar in 2000 and
has been in continuous practice since. Dipendra started his legal career
in 2000 with Messrs Shearn Delamore & Co, where he was involved
in litigation, tax and corporate advisory matters. He joined Zaid Ibrahim
& Co in 2003 before establishing RamDipendra in 2007.
Dipendra has been very active in both State (Kuala Lumpur) and National
(Malaysian) Bar since 2005. In February 2007, Dipendra was elected as
a committee member of the Kuala Lumpur Bar and became its youngest elected
member (in terms of years of practise) since 1978. Dipendra currently
chairs the Young Lawyers Committee at state level and also sits as the
Deputy Chair in the National Young Lawyers Committee. This committee
looks into matters involving human rights; civil liberties in addition
to socio-economic aspect of practice e.g. community projects, career
advancement and external liaison. In addition to this, Dipendra is also
the Honorary Secretary of the Medico-Legal Society Malaysia, a body
specifically established to look into the interests of the medical and
legal professions.
